I was planning on buying the whole guild wars package. (the original-prophecies, factions, nightfall and eye of the north
I just wanted your opinion about whether or not i should buy the game. 

I bought the GotY edition of guild wars on clearence for 5 USD. I still haven't opened it, but my brother liked his copy. It is all still up and running, should be ok. Depends on the deal you would be getting.

the deal would be 40 Euro for the whole package.  I wanna know a bit more about the game now tho and how many ppl playing, it isnt a money problem

Keep in mind a GW2 is on it's way at some point as well, so yeah. 
 
Also a lot of people don't play the expansions anymore, just the original prophecies campaign stuff. Last I heard anyway.

Its an awesome game and a different take on the mmo experience. Dont expect WoW. The cut scenes show their age now, but graphically it still looks a lot better than a lot of games that come out today. Its a very well made and polished game. I would recommend starting with Prophecies and getting yourself in a guild straight away.

I don't know how it's doing now, but when I played back before the expansions, it was a great experience. Really fun game.
