Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus (stylized as Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus) is a 2D sci-fi fantasy fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published for the PlayStation 2 in Japan (by Arc System Works on March 27, 2008), North America (by Aksys Games on April 7, 2009), and Europe (by pQube on December 3, 2010).
An enhanced version of Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, XX Accent Core Plus includes a brand new Story Mode set after the events of the previous Guilty Gear XX games. It also revamps Survival Mode (with new RPG elements) and brings back Mission Mode, hidden characters Kliff and Justice, and both XX Slash and XX #Reload versions of stages. The Japanese version of the game also received a cheaper "Append" version that requires the XX Accent Core disc on start-up. Some of the game's bugfixes and balance changes were later brought into the game's next revision, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R.
It was also released, with same regional publishers, for the PlayStation Portable in Japan (on July 24, 2008), North America (on April 7, 2009), and Europe (on May 20, 2011) and for the Wii in North America (on May 12, 2009) and Europe (on May 20, 2011). The PSP version is notable for including 3-on-3 matches. The game was also digitally released by Arc System Works for the Xbox 360 (worldwide on October 24, 2012) and PlayStation 3 (in Japan on November 1, 2012 and in North America on December 4, 2012).
All characters from XX Accent Core return, along with the return of Kliff and Justice, for a total of 25 characters.
