Overview
Gulley is the son of the blacksmith that lives between Kakariko Village and Hyrule Castle in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. At the beginning of the game, he wakes Link, who works for Gulley's father as an apprentice, and leads him to the smithy. However, a short while later, he vanishes, leaving his parents worried sick for his safety. Link finds an item pouch south of the blacksmith's house that Gulley left before he disappeared.
As it turns out, Gulley is one of the seven sages of Hyrule, and as such was captured and turned into a painting by Yuga. He seems too young to fully understand what is happening and refers to the sages as the "Sevensages". Link rescues him after recovering his portrait from the Dark Palace in Lorule.
