    Its Oni

    Evidence:

In the weekly update a log that depicted a conversation between a military personnel  and SI had the words
UNSC "Office of Naval Intelligence" in other words ONI

The SI has a "obsession with keeping it clean." In Oni the planet was extremely polluted.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oni_(video_game)

Last but not least, the weekly update depicted a digital corruption. In Oni, an AI grew to smart (and evil apparently) and started to corrupt and take over the digital world.

I'm gonna have to go with No, but neither was Viva Pinata in terms of sales.

Maybe its a remake or an inspiration for a new great title. Like the relationship between Marathon and Halo.

I really don't think that Bungie is going to have success with another Oni game. I also thought that we decided that the unannounced project was a Halo title, because Don Mattrick said so.

If they released on PS3 then maybe, but Microsoft would never let them release a sequel to that game. I see that game for basically nothing at Gamestop from time to time.

The Office of Naval Intelligence appears in Halo and I believe Marathon as well. Bungie always does a pretty good job of tying their games together with little nods here and there.

Notice how they said team. In Halo they were called squads. In Oni they were teams. Just saying

Nice find, but I don't think there is enough interest in Oni to warrant a sequel... unless they do something totally radical to reintroduce it.

I suppose it's possible but I don't think we'll be seeing an Oni 2. Indeed Bungie enjoy tieing their games together but ONI (Office of Naval Intelligence) from the Halo series has been a bit of a nod to the game Oni and I just don't think there's enough evidence here to say that Bungie are working on an Oni game.

you put that as if I am somehow actively playing and trying to rank up..pretty funny..not that this has a thing to do with halo at all.
All in all though...I don't know about this..if that turns out to be true, I just don't get it really..the game didn't do all that well and wasn't really remembered..or ever talked about.

So I guess every game you don't have interest in, the real reason is simply because you suck at it, ok that makes perfect sense. Honestly..the things you fanboys say. And once more this isn;t even a topic about halo. As far as Oni goes I just don't see why it woudl be their choice to make another game like that..it was an ok game, it just didn't do that great and wasn't very well known.

Neither was Marathon, but people pretend to give a damn about it now because it may have tenuous plot connections to Halo. So people will give a damn about Oni if they connect it to Halo with the slightest thread because as crunch demonstrates a large number(not all) of Halo fans are drooling acolytes.

Oni is the ONLY Bungie game I never liked.  For lack of a better way of saying it, the game was a Westerners attempt at making a Japanese game, at least style-wise.  It's a lot like Shogo in this way.  I'm not anti-Western games at all, I'm anti-Western gamer makers that wish they were Japanese.

Bungie says right on their site the IP is now owned by Take2 interactive. Not happening.
