Why isn't the reticule smack bang in the middle of the screen?

I've just gone back to Halo 3 multiplayer and noticed that something felt very off putting. Halfway through match 2 I noticed that the reticule was below the centre of the screen. Could someone confirm this please because ive had problems with bad company 2 aswell so im thinking that a setting on my T.V is messed up or something.

Hmm... the dot/crosshair in BC2 is smack in the middle of my screen. However the loading circle logo and stuff are either above or below, in case that's what you're experiencing. It might indeed be a messed up setting with your display. You using HDMI?

     I don't own Halo 3 so I can't say anything about that.

@MrKlorox: Different problem in bad company 2. I took my 360 on holiday and had to change the setting on the component plug thingy on the back of the 360 (I use component cables, not HDMI cable) from HD to TV and forgot to change it back when I got back from holiday mucking up the ratio and graphical quality on bad company 2 especially. Just changed it so bad company should work now.

It is bad game design to put it right in the middle. it should be build around the character models and the FOV.

Actually, its bad game design to make me look at the sky to shoot a person in front of me.
