Today when I fired up Reach, I got a message saying "Welcome To Noble Team!" and my Spartan's armor was all reverted back to the default. I thought nothing of it because this glitch has happened to me before, but when I went to campaign to complete some of the daily challenges I saw that the game erased all of my progress. This is absolutely infuriating, because I was working on beating the game on Legendary and even had some of the missions completed on solo. Will it be back when I start the game later or am I totally screwed?
Halo: Reach
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Sep 14, 2010
A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.
Lost all my campaign progress
Did you dl it to yur HDD and have you checked your memory and game saves? Could be a corrupt drive I guess. Weird shit, and man that sucks if you've lost your sp legendary progress. I've never had any such prob. When you look at campaign by missions, does it show single and co-op completion stuff per lvl, or just nothing like a first time playthrough?
Sorry but you are screwed. That happened to me a few months ago. Thankfully when I was doing my legendary run it never happened.
" To be fair, the game probably did you a favour. Fuck playing some of those later missions on Legendary (solo). Especially the last bit of the game. "I think the mid game sequences are way harder to legendary solo than the last bit... they get way more generous with hard hitting weapons towards the end but even if they didn't, there was little a plasma pistol and dmr couldn't murder.
Wow, this is a problem. They need to make it clearer to the user when it's auto-saving and when it's not. Maybe pausing the game before turning the system off would be a good idea.
Happened to me in Banjo Kazooie. That game auto saves like crazy. I now never turn off my xbox without going back to a main menu.
I'm with the people who make sure they are in a main menu. Always back out fully before turning it off. It takes just a few seconds and any lost progress will be the same as if you turned the xbox off. I don't think they need to make it easier to see when its saving, people just need to be more careful. There are warning posted, and if you know a game auto-saves, its just best to always back out first just in case.
