    Halo: Reach

Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Sep 14, 2010

A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.

The limited edition wasn't really worth it :/

All you get is a bunch of bits of paper I mean the book is good . But I would have liked a DVD on how they made the game etc like they did with halo 3

I only bought one collector's edition, and that was for Bioshock. Was it worth it? The big daddy I got with the game thinks so. But yea, never again.

@turbomonkey138: Will you send me a PM that tells me what's on the last page of that journal thing? Vinny made a joke about it just being "Ahhhhhhh!" before he actually saw it, then--when he did see the last page--he said something like, "Yup, that's what I was looking for."

The flaming helmet armor effect and Noble Team statue are the only things that aren't also in the limited edition. And the space crate packaging I guess, but that doesn't really count.

I'm a sucker for limited editions, so I tend to buy them without even considering what's inside them but I was disheartened to hear that the commentary track was only going to be with the Legendary Edition, though it was last time which puts more shame down to the fact I just couldn't afford that version this time round.

No, but apparently that's just an unlockable streaming video on Halo Waypoint. Not as great as it first sounded according to people on NeoGAF.

Edit: What I meant is, the actual commentary is good, but some people tend to get shitty quality from Waypoint's streaming.

Always check what you're buying before you buy it. Personally I'm pretty stoked about getting the limited edition because I really want to see the documentation that comes with it.

The only collector's edition that I'm buying this year is the LittleBIGPlanet 2 one. It comes with a bunch of cool costumes and an adorable little sackboy plushie. Plushies FTW! Oh, also the Black Ops CE has the cool car thingy. Seems like a decent CE item. The Fallout New Vegas CE stuff is garbage. A deck of cards? Really?!

I still have the lunchbox and bobblehead from the F3 CE. I actually used the lunchbox.

I was tempted by the Limited Edition with Halsey's journal, but not for an extra twenty bucks.

I'll see if it's on Craigslist though.

I thought the Limited Edition was sweet.  The journal alone blew me away, it's really high quality.  I was expecting some cheap paper journal and got this awesome bound hardcover journal that looks incredible. I'm glad I spent the extra $20 for that awesome journal alone.  The unlocks kinda sucked, but whatever that journal is awesome.

I bought the regular edition at midnight, but as I was walking out the door I noticed the LE had the exclusive armor. And I almost bought it just for that. But the big appeal for me is to customize my guy, so I don't want to have to feel I have to wear this $20 armor all the time.

I just ended up going with the regular. Every limited edition I buy I end up thinking it's cool for a few hours then just go on playing the game.  I'd rather have the 20 bucks.

I would love to see that book, but at the end of the day special editions just aren't for me.  I am, however, prepared to eat my foot if the Mass Effect 3 special edition is awesome enough.

I still use my Fallout 3 lunchbox, so I guess it wasn't a total waste of money. However, I lost my Tricell messenger bag somewhere, and I played Call of Duty Classic for all of two hours, and both of those trump the previous as examples of why I will (probably) never buy a special edition of any game ever again.
