I consider a Hamburger a seperate thing as it always requires a bun and some kind if ground protein. Anything between slices of cut loaf-bread is a sandwich IMO. Also Burgers can't be served cold... its boarder-line criminal. 😁 They must be cooked fresh!

A burger implies burgered meat. The same bun used on chicken just as easily is called a sandwich. You can call it a chicken burger but that's a lie if it's just a chicken breast

In Ireland we call "chicken sandwiches" chicken burgers as we see that all burgers are sandwiches but the bun give it the burger prefix so by this definition a Hamburger is just a Mince Sandwich but no one calls em that they just call em burgers.

I think if I saw them on the menu under sandwiches I wouldn’t be unhappy about it. But I feel like if you refer to them as sandwiches in any other context you’re an asshole.
