Hamburger
A hamburger is a hunk of ground beef served between two pieces of bun-configured bread. Hamburgers are often served with a variety of toppings and condiments. It is named for the region in which it was invented, not for the kind of meat (as is often mistakenly suggested).
BBQ Sauce on a Hamburger.....yay or nay?
The great thing about burgers is that there are just so many different things you can do and most taste great. BBQ sauce on a burger is sometimes a yes, and sometimes a no.
It really depends. If it is a fast food or just a pattie and some bread and maybe cheese then ketchup all the way, but if you are having a fancy burger at a nice restaurant with the works on it barbecue sauce is the way to go.
Not an everytime concept, but it can be utilised. I mean i wouldn't normally put caviar or truffles on a burger, but apparently people (in nu yawrk citee) bay dozens of dollars for dolled up burgers with crap liek that on it.
thats why places like five guys are cool, in that you order a burger, and add what you want, nothing you don't.
But to hell with fudruckers.
Depends on where you get it from. I'd never put bbq sauce on a McDonalds burger for some reasons, but if i make burgers at home, then definitely yes.
Nay, Unless it's a bacon burger or something.
Other than that, For my other burgers I go with Ketchup.
Depending on the other ingredients in the burger, you would make an informed decision as to what kind of sauce you used. But I'd say, barbeque goes down well on the majority of burgers.
BBQ sauce is a totally acceptable sauce when it comes to hamburgers.
However, it is no match for the traditional ketchup.
