    Hamburger

Object » linked to 356 games

A hamburger is a hunk of ground beef served between two pieces of bun-configured bread. Hamburgers are often served with a variety of toppings and condiments. It is named for the region in which it was invented, not for the kind of meat (as is often mistakenly suggested).

I have - but only ever once. There was this pub near to my house in the UK and they did the biggest burger I've ever had, ever. I'm sure you guys will have a burger story to compete with this but I'm going to blow by blow describe the biggest burger I ever ate in my life. So here we go, starting from the bottom and working up:

    • Buttered, toasted bun.
    • Slice of cheese.
    • Salsa relish topped with pickles, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and diced onion.
    • Burger patte topped with slice of cheese.
    • Middle piece of toasted buttered bread.
    • A second burger patte topped with a slice of cheese (and this is where it goes mad)
    • Bacon and BBQ sauce (at first I wasn't sure about the use of both BBQ sauce and salsa but given they were so far apart it kinda worked)
    • A plain omelette.
    • Another slice of cheese.
    • Pineapple ring (oh GOD how well that worked).
    • Onion rings.
    • Buttered, toasted bun with seasame seeds on top.

The biggest burger I ever ate. It was huge - all held together with a big stick. Served with chips (fries) and onion rings. Was so nice - not the sort of thing you could eat every day but amazing all the same.

Closed down now :( What are your huge burger stories?

There was a place in New Orleans called Tucker's that served the best deep fried burgers on the planet. I nearly had a heart attack trying to eat that thing, but it was friggin' amazing.

I split the burger with a friend, there is no way any one person short of Kobayashi could take it on by themselves. It still wasn't easy though. Oh and the name of the place was the Waterfront Cafe in Ft. Myers Florida in case any of you feel the need to take on this beast.

I can't remember to be honest, but I don't think that it was any more expensive than a good steak at a restaurant, and keep in mind, this is something that you will want to eat with at least one other person.

There's a place called Joe's american Bar and grill I worked at, where this guy would come in, and get a burger made with 4!!! 1/2 pound ground chuck patties cooked rare, served on an entire round loaf of peasant bread that itself is meant to be shared among 4 people, with about 6 slices of aged white cheddar, onion strings, and veggies, and 6 strips of bacon.

And then would usually get a peice of cake or pie. And about 3 martinis.
