It might be childhood nostalgia, but because I loved the first few books when I was younger, I also liked the first two games. If I remember correctly, it was actually a bit open-worldy, as you could walk around the school and had classes to attend, where you learned new spells. Again, it's been a long time, so maybe (or probably) the gameplay was broken, and I just liked the recreation of Hogwarts.
I've played the two GBC harry potter games and they surprised me that they weren't bad. They are turn based RPGs with random battles that are pretty forgiving and the mechanics aren't bad. Also the second one is the last game released on the GBC in the US and I got it cheap and new on Amazon a few months back to keep shrink wrapped as a collectors item.
The first 3 on pc were actually pretty good (at least when I was a kid), and I thought the lego harry potter game was great! Ive heard the 5th game is ok? never played it though
yeah, Chamber of Secrets ( nr 2 ) on the original xbox was great ( if nostalgia serves me right ). Or.. remembering not hating it atleast.
Lego HP is allright enough. But my nitpicky thing about all Lego games are those times when YOU don't remember what happend in the movies, but that is the thing that the game wants you to do. But you don't get any help from the game either.
Lego Indy 1, at the boss fight with that huge russian guy near the plane. I actually forgot that that guy dies because of the plane. So i tried to kick his ass for like 15 minutes, before he suddenly happend to come into contact with the planes engine.
