       Yeah since the nature of game it seems totally unnecessary to make a Heavy Rain movie. I hope like most movie based on video games that the project will eventually die. However, if that want to make a successful heavy rain movie then they got to move away from the storyline of the game. Make about different characters with a different serial killer. Personally i think a heavy rain movie based off of the game will kill a lot of the charm that game has.

    This seems by far the most potentially successful game-to-movie adaptation and yet the existing similarity of Heavy Rain to a movie just makes me ask "why would you make this?" for whole different reasons than other video game movies do.

    If I want to see a Heavy Rain movie I'll look for a 2 star paranormal thriller on Netflix.

    To be fair, as ridiculous as the accents and the plot holes are, the game's story really wasn't any more or less terrible than a middling suspense movie anyway.  Which means we can all expect at best a middling suspense movie.
     
    Though, I kind of hope that David Cage convinces the studio to let him direct the film just to see if he can up the batshit quotient.
