    The Hazardous Environment Combat Unit were dispatched to the Black Mesa facility to fight the aliens and regain control. Although the Marines were successful at first, but there forces were soon overwhelmed when the Xen aliens continued teleporting into Black Mesa. With casualties rising, the Marine evacuated as aerial bombardments tore into the facility.
