    Originally introduced in the anime .hack//SIGN, Helba has some knowledge that not everything is quite right in The World and is a hacker who CC Corp seem to be aware of. She makes her video game debut in .hack//INFECTION (which follows on from the continuity of .hack//SIGN), now aiding Kite by sending him information about using his new found hacking abilities, and initially aiding and advising some tertiary characters before eventually getting far more heavily involved in the plot.
