    Hell Fighter 17 is a Machine Mutant duplicate of Android 17 created in the afterlife by doctors Gero and Myuu.

    Hell Fighter 17 was created by Dr. Gero of the Red Ribbon Army and Dr. Myuu of Planet M2. The two villainous scientists, meeting in Hell, decided to work on a plan of revenge toward Goku and the other Earth warriors. They created a Machine Mutant duplicate of Android 17, who had been living peacefully on Earth as a park ranger and family man. Using cybernetic pulses, he controls Android 17's mind and uses him to help generate a portal, opening the gates of Hell and pouring out its villainous denizens on Earth. He later fuses with Android 17 to become Super Android 17.

    Hell Fighter 17 is identical to Android 17's initial appearance in Dragon Ball Z (Android 17, at the time of Hell Fighter 17's appearance, had begun wearing a brown overcoat but otherwise looks the same).

    In Video Games

    Hell Fighter 17 is a playable character in Dragon Ball Heroes. Although similar to standard Android 17, he also has his own special move, the Hell Breaker.

    In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Hell Fighter 17 features heavily in scenes based on the Super 17 Saga of Dragon Ball GT. When fought in the game, however, he is simply just the standard Android 17.
