Description
The combatants begin on the top level and can knock each other down to the lower level at any edge.
That action triggers a quick animation to the place below and the fighter that dealt the blow follows quickly after. This slightly larger secondary arena features a fatality trap at one side, it's hard to miss.
According to
Koffin OD in MK Deception,
Mike Taran says:
"Onaga's army is busy at work forging weapons and armor for tomorrow's battles. Conveyor belts and automated cauldrons pour hot liquid steel. Giant steel smashers pound repeatedly, and distant factories populate the horizon. Players can knock each other down to the lower level, where the giant smasher deathtrap awaits. I chose a less Asian, more Gothic style of architecture to depict this evil factory, plus we needed more of a mix of styles for Mortal Kombat: Deception."Appearance
The Foundry was introduced in MK Deception.
Death Trap
When a combatant is knocked into the glowing metal stage, they'll scramble at first to get to cool ground, but they're molten pancake in the blink of an eye.
