Lots of people here are playing Heroes of the Storm. Surely a lot of you have Heroes you mainly play!

Personally my most played Hero is Diablo since he's a super cool dude who body slams dudes. Man, when you get the picks with him, slamming a squishy behind you and kicking him back to your team... So good. Too bad he's weak if you don't get picks. Heroes that can escape from that disposition just fuck him up. Haven't played him for a while as a result. Been trying to diversify. I also like ETC a lot for warriors but same story.

My favorite healer is probably Rehgar because he's a cool dude that turns into a wolf but I pick Uther more often because I really value his stuns and I feel like I heal more with him. I feel like I don't get max potential out of the generic talents like cleanse and protective shield but I try!

For assassins I'm currently liking Falstad. I've been working on him in QM and doing quite well winrate wise. I also really like the casters, Jaina and Kael. I haven't really played Kael since the patch so I haven't gotten into his new style but it sounds like he's still good so I'll try to learn it sometime.

As for Specialists I really like Abathur even though I'm bad at using his body aggressively for soak and for doing the fancy mine/locust stuff. I like being a hat and bouncing around helping out teammates everywhere on the map.

That's me off the top of the head. There's other heroes I play a lot of (I am a completionist- I have them all) but currently those ones are my favs. Not necessarily my best, but my favorites. Who are yours?

I haven't played enough to have given each character their fair shake, but when I'm not picking random heroes to complete quests, I go with Tychus or Uther.

I really enjoy Nova, but I also love Li-Li.

Li-Li is my girl. I loveeeeee being full support/heals, and it makes the games far more interesting to me then back and forth fighting. When I pop out of tall grass and heal my team mates from near dead to full, while also drawing aggro from most the enemy team, my teammates can usually slaughter the other team and I get away alive :D

Just started so I've basically only played as Diablo. Sometimes its frustrating with his low damage especially against a team of assassins. But with a good team for support he kicks butt.

I really enjoyed playing Green Arrow in Infinite Crisis so I have only played a 4 games of hots (against AI) but really enjoying the Demon Hunter (Valla..?) I like that AoE thing to damage creeps and just being able to hang back and chip away at health and turrets and stuff. Haven't even tried anyone else (except Raynor from tutorial and seeing Dan play) but I feel like I should just play one class anyway, I don't know if it's worth me levelling up lots of different characters.

@willza92: It's definitely worth it to try all the characters in the game as they go free to play! If you learn to play them can better understand what they're capable of when you're with or against them. It will make you a better teammate and a better player overall.

Plus the best way to get gold in Heroes is to do daily quests on the regular. They require you play heroes of specific classes or specific universes often.

Plus plus if you're ever interested in the ranked draft mode you'll need 10 heroes to play with incase your other heroes get drafted and you're last pick. It's best practices to have options if being the tank or support falls on you.

Anyway just continue to try out heroes. If you're doing vs AI there's very little risk to this anyway. It's fun to learn new ones!

My personal favourite is Sylvanas: She's just a beast that can perform in almost any role when necessary. Black Arrows is great for keeping towers, minions and mercenaries in check, Withering Fire is a great for a sudden boost in damage and spreading Black Arrows, she can debuff everything. She's just great and awesome.

What would you say makes you prefer Li Li over, say Malfurion, or the other straightforward support/healer classes? I ask because I'd like to learn a support and was wondering which might work best for me. :)

Tyrande is the only way to go with support I say.

Chen i my favorite to play, his brew mechanic makes him so good at tanking. Quite quick paced play compared to most tanks on the roster.

Zagara is fun, love seeing how much i can cover the map with creep.

@mbdoeden: I've never played any of the other supports. Lili gave such a good first impression I never had the desire to try any other healer.

Plus she is a super happy panda lady!

I personally enjoy playing Tyrande. The ability to heal someone AND myself is so helpful and helps out in a tight moment. I also just really like the DPS aspect too, of course. Azmodan and Sylvanas are also really fun to play.

I really like Sylvanas and Murky to push lanes. Azmodan is fun, especially if you manage to dunk-kill an enemy. I also have a lot of fun with Tychus. I recently got enough gold to buy the monk and he seems fun too. I especially like how you can skill him for pure damage or to be a quite good healer.

But overall ... Murky all the way :)

Really been into Zegara lately. Just a ton of fun laying down creep and never having to hearth back to base.

Zagara is amazing.

Abathur is the one I play as vast majority of the time.

For that LiLi players I suggest looking to into Brightwing. He does great heals and unlike LiLi his ult and other things cant be cut short from stuns or silence.

Haven't played much other than what's free at the moment, but I really dig Nazeebo. Trapping a dude in the zombie wall successfully is just so satisfying. Diablo I got for free for owning the game, and he's pretty alright too.

Been loving my time with the Monk. Still trying to improve my Sylvanas and Tyrande games.

Nova. Just plain mean. Same with Tassadar (wall) and Nazeebo (everything).

I also really like Siege Tank but I'm only so-so with her. Abathur is neat as well, and I'd like to learn Sylvanas.

Muradin,Malfurian,Zagara and Jaina depending on what role I feel like playing.

Malfurion and Valla are my go to characters so far.

It's been probably over a month since I played, but I tend to main the random button in most games and mostly played hots by way of what daily quests I had or team composition with my friends.

Though the characters I enjoyed playing the most were probably Sylvanas for her mad damage and push, Johanna for her amazing peel and disruption and Tychus because he was challenging to snowball with, but when you do ITS HILARIOUS.

Azmodan is by far my most played. Abathur, Zagara and Diablo are great too.

@deathfromace: great advice. So far that has been my main problem with LiLi is my ult getting wrecked. Otherwise super fun and easy player. My 2nd favorite so far. But Raynor is my dude right now. Once you get lots of stuns on that pierce shot it's very satisfying knowing they can't escape and if I don't get em they will stay right there until my teammates show up.

I like to go around healing and supporting people as Malfurion.

Still getting around to trying people but most of my time spent has been with Diablo and Tyrael. Still wanna try Nova, Zeratul, and a few others.

I've played every hero a bunch at some point or other. My preferences tend to shift depending if/when certain heroes are buffed or nerfed significantly.

Melee assassins I really loved Thrall when he came out until they destroyed his only really viable build. Currently I feel like the Butcher is super beastly. He has decent survivability and his single target sustained damage is just ungodly.

Tanks, i've loved Arthas before that got hit with the nerf stick into the ground. Really love Stitches even after the nerfs, but I tended to play him differently from standard builds, I went into all regeneration + survivability + pooping, when you have over 100hp regen per second resistance to disables, all attacks against you are slowed and people are running after you knee deep in shit, good times. Skeleton King is pretty fun too. And I don't mind playing Muradin and ETC either. Overall I'd say tanks have the most characters I like numbers wise.

Nazeebo has always been my man too right from the start and although the way you play him now has changed a bit I still love to dust him off and wreck faces.

Siege Tank is fun to mess around with from time to time, mostly good for the lols against inexperienced people. Again I usually build her differently from the norm and new players frequently get a very unpleasant surprise when they try to gank you between mines, blast and vampiric attacks. Allows you to be balsy and escape at the last second if necessary, and simply does not allow a lane to go unchecked.

Of supports Lili has always been my go to with Malfurion a close second, tho with the huge changes to Malfurion's talents I've kind of abandoned him. Lili is just that sort of character that if you are careful and stay well behind your frontline chances are you will win every team fight that goes on longer then 10s. Great heals and decent enough damage too. If I know I am playing with a good melee tank player I will take Rehgar and start spamming double lighting shields to just mince people through the grinder.

Used to play the shit out of Gazlow and Abathur but they kind of faded into the background for me. Honourable mentions to Vala and Sylvanas too.

It's easier to list heroes I actively dislike I think: Nova, Diablo, Murky. Bleeeh.

Oh man Murky is so fun. I personally play him as an Assassin because with increased damage on fish with slime, slime damage up, and slime on fish, with your Octo-Grab you will kill anyone in one combo if they are not a warrior. Murky is that one Hero that used to be horrible but it seems finally after all the updates he has found his own place and it's great. I hate playing against him because how annoying he is and it's so fun playing as him.

When I started playing I loved Tyrande. A decent support who could spec for some damage if needed. Her Starfall ult "felt" overpowered and the skillshot was fun. But I started to have less and less wins and fun with her as time passed. I don't know if she was nerfed, or if she's just easy to play against if you have some experience, or if she's too much of a jack-of-all trades who doesn't excel at anything.

As of now I think my favorite is Zagara as a push monster. The wildest turns I've done is with her. Lose a few heroes late in the game and she can solo your entire base before you're up again (exaggerating a bit for dramatic effect)

I also like Anub'Arak (busy warrior, very annoying to meet) and Brightwing (always fun to suprise-save a chased ally and turn the battle)

I think along the same lines on Stitches, survivability is his only strength that makes him somewhat viable these days. He's just a sponge with a hook, can't kill anything except for the poop ult. I like to build into devour instead though, chew your food/amp healing/last bite makes for a great 8 sec cooldown self heal with minions around.
