As someone who contributed a hefty amount to their well-produced kickstarter campaign (this was my first and last kickstarter donation), in my eyes Hex has become a horrific garbage fire.
They were extremely late in delivering the playable alpha to backers
The game was supposed to be final years ago yet is still in early access last I checked
They had partnered with a shady-ass South American company that had you buying packs from a shady-ass foreign website
The UI is by far the worst in the genre [seriously, MTGO had a better interface 15 years ago] and many aspects are still flat-out broken or missing
Many of the goals and features outlined in the kickstarter campaign still have yet to be implemented going on five years later
I could keep going, and I almost want to once I'm home tonight and not typing on my phone, but really people: do not give these people your time or money.
Edit:
Glancing back at the OP: the game is still janky as all hell, still in early access after almost five years in development, and they're now releasing their SIXTH expansion!? What if instead of pushing out new card sets to their store they focused on base form and function first?
Man, this game and its developers make me so mad every time I'm reminded that it's still somehow limping along.
