I've written this in a few places as a reaction to this news but I think it's worth repeating:

I wish there were a Swery65 patreon or something and millions paid 1 buck a month to it.
Swery just needs to be given money so he can do shit and humanity will profit.

Swery is the video game dev/human being we as humanity need. If we deserve him or not is a different question.

He really does seem like such a nice guy. It didn't suprise me that he became a buddhist monk. His personality is the reason I've even bought DP in the first place. I hate typing this but we don't have a lot of video game devs like him and that makes me sort of sad.

Well, fuck.

This reminds me that I've never watched either of the DP Endurance Runs.

Needless to say, I hope you get well soon, SWERY. The world can't lose your weirdness.

@whitegreyblack: Has he elaborated on his condition at all? Several family members and myself have reactive hypoglycemia, and it has never been that hard to manage. I have to wonder if he has some other conflicting issue making it much worse for him. Although, I have heard that some people experience the symptoms more intensely than others.

Ahem. However, excessively playing Persona 4 didn't stop me from watching *that* ER (and planning to again during P5 play), so knowing D Premonition rather initmately won't stop me from going back in. Besides, I'm... rather excited to say the least to see Jeff, Vinny, Brad and Ryan's reactions.

Hope he gets back in good health and gets back to making crazy shit in whatever medium. I'll follow SWERY to the end.

Swery's a universal treasure and seems like the nicest person to ever exist. He's liked pictures of my cats on Facebook before, a moment I cherish. Even if he doesn't get back into games, he still makes the world better.

For anyone unaware, Swery's Twitter account is one of the best things ever. If I had my druthers, I'd only follow him and Rmanthorp for a pairing of the two most hilarious indecipherable people on social media.

@jimmysmiths: I don't know, but I don't think so. I had just happened to read that there was a concern with reactive hypoglycemia, in another article. I'm not one to go reading further into it - I'm not keen on looking further into someone's specific health (not to be taken as a condemnation of anyone else looking for more info, though!). I'm just happy he's focused on that right now and hope he gets back to 100%.

I'm still not entirely sure that back tattoo isn't for real.
