This sounds interesting:
The Good Life is set in Rainy Woods, the self-proclaimed “happiest town in the world.” You play as Naomi, a photographer from New York who gets stuck in this rural England town. Something’s not right, though, because all of the town’s residents turn into cats at night.
“The town becomes a very different place at night, as certain secret paths, rooftops, and attics can only be accessed by cats,” the original pitch goes.
“This game will inherit the spirit of Deadly Premonition, my most representative work, but it will also feature a brand new style of gameplay,” said Suehiro. “It’s a mystery game based on the framework of a ‘daily life RPG.'”
"Spirit of Deadly Premonition", daily life RPG, rural England and transforming into cats sounds pretty perfect. I never tried D4, and only watched the ER of DP, but I'll be keeping an eye on this one!
Edit: The crowdfunding campaign for the game will go live on FIG on September 3 (Link to the campaign) PC and PS4 are the currently planned platforms. (Wasn't DP X360 and PC only?)
Also, it's interesting the number of parallels this game has with DP and Twin Peaks, the same way that DP did. "Naomi" seems like a Twin Peakish name (Naomi Watts?) Rainy Woods was the original name for Deadly Premonition (and a better name, imo) It feels like SWERY is still in the Twin Peaks mood, which is great. Inspired by the return of TP maybe? (He's been watching the new season according to his instagram posts!)
