Himalaya Studios was founded 2004 in Arizona by Britney Brimhall and Chris Warren, who previously established AGD Interactive. The studio has key staff and independent contractors from all around the world.
Himalaya Studios continues to carry very much in the spirit of AGD Interactive, which is to keep the point-and-click adventure game genre alive. Where Himalaya Studios differs from AGD Interactive is in their focus to create original classic-style adventure games for a commercial market, as opposed to the free downloadable remakes that AGD Interactive have been doing.
The first game released by the studio is Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine.
