This used to be a almost yearly franchise (little less). However, it's been quite a while since the last game, which was Blood Money.  That game was freaking awesome.  That being said, despite being so, it did felt like one of those upgraded to next gen ports.    There's nothing wrong with that I guess, but a truly next gen hitman could be awesome.

It was announced.  But where is it?  Or are they trying to revamp the series a bit, kind of like Splinter Cell (which I use to love, but it became the same game, over and over).

I don't know but I am eagerly awaiting its return.

I spent so much time on Blood Money.

It would be nice to see a new Hitman! Who owns the rights? Maybe that's why we haven't seen one....

 I think the creators are concentrating on the "Kayne and Lynch" franchise right now.

I think having a new Hitman would be sick.

Personally, I like the dark atmosphere of Hitman: Contracts the best.  I felt like Blood Money gave you the most options for paths/methods of completion.  It was way too easy though, and had some wacky inventory decisions (I can only bring one pistol?...).  Hopefully they pay attention to some of the suggestion in their forum because there's some good ones there.

I love that series, hopefully hear something at E3.... although absolutely nothing as of yet so I guess a trailer is all we can hope for.

The announced ETA of the next Hitman title is the end of 2010, according to a Destructoid article.

I loved blood money i got silent assassin's and every mission but the last.I got hitman there. Of coarse most of it was replying and finding out the best way to assassinsnate the target(s)

Im a big fan of the series (have no idea why) and really look forward to a full next gen hitman game. I really did not enjoy blood money though, i think it might of been the spliter cell camera controls...idk
