Hogger is an elite gnoll who has made a number of appearances in World of Warcraft. As a level 11 elite in Elwynn Forest, he is one of the lowest-level elite enemies that players can encounter in the game.

Prior to the release of
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, a quest in Elwynn Forest required a group of players to kill Hogger. Outside of the quest, Hogger was also known as being the target of the "Hogger Raid", in which a large group of level 1 characters attempt to take down the elite enemy together.
In World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
In the five-player dungeon
Trial of the Crusader, the boss Argent Confessor Paletress will summon random Memories, simulacrums of old dungeon and raid bosses, which attack player characters. One of the Memories that can be summoned is Memory of Hogger.
In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
In Patch 4.0.3, the Elwynn Forest quest to kill Hogger was revised. The player is still required to engage Hogger, but upon reaching 1 HP, General Marcus Jonathan appears and arrests Hogger, sending him to
Stormwind Stockades. Also following 4.0.3, Hogger was made the boss of the gnoll wing of the Stockades.
