i was just wondering who if anyone, besides me, is considering buying homefront?

Right now my attitude towards Homefront is "approach with caution". If it turns out to be anything more than a generic FPS with a story deliberately written to attract attention and controversy, I'll consider it.

I don't know i'm kinda of fps outed and don't think i need another that so closely feel like black ops or bad company. Maybe a fun rent but don't know if it will be good or have any legs.

Unless it reviews horribly I'll get it for sure.  I'm hoping they steer clear of making it anything close to CoD or BC2.

I will be getting it, I was not impressed by black ops and I need something new to sink some time into.

I was going to get it, but after reading Joystiq's single player coverage I'm going to wait till I have a competent PC to play MP. Because I refuse to pay for xbox live anymore.

Im going to wait for the reviews before I decide.

The story has me very interested, but I'll wait to see how the reviews are before dropping $60 on it.

If the demo hits the right notes for me, I might think about picking it up on a sale. The story and set-up seem really interesting, but everything else looks pretty mediocre.

I read a little bit of the book adaptation in WH Smiths the other day there.
 
The plot isn't all that special or anything - but I did like Frontlines multiplayer, despite its flaws and I'd say that I am going to keep a close eye on this one.

I'm on the edge of deciding with this title.  
It's developed by the guys who did *Frontlines: Fuel of War and has that Freedom Fighters feel to it. 
(*Frontlines was a sweet multi player title a few years back that got swept under the rug by C.O.D. 4 and it's a shame because it was uber battlefield with control enabled little war bots and massive maps. This was well before Bad Company was released.)  
So i'm kinda sold on it but i'm really worried how the single player will turn out and if there is any co-op in the campaign. 
I just hope this isn't another case of an awesome game being labeled under "It's not Call of Duty" tagline.  
Even though some people are already doing that.  

I still don't know what this game is about, looks a bit like Freedom Fighters.

I'll wait for reviews but yeah, maybe.

Hell no, looks like a boring repetitive generic FPS that reeks of consolified gaming.

i liked frontlines' campaign, so i am cautiously optimistic,  and  i will probably pre-order it.   if anyone wants to play we should make a list of names.

I'm waiting on a multiplayer demo before I make a decision. I hope it's good...I need something to tide me over till Battlefield 3 comes out

i'm going to see with the reviews. I'd be buying this for multiplayer and even though it sounds kind of good for now, it could very easily be no fun since they are constantly rewarding players that are doing well (while at the same time tagging them as a threat)

probably yes, might change my mind though, depending on what info I get (quicklooks etc.) ... its rought cause thats the same month brink comes out and I KNOW I want that.

I could care less about multiplayer. However this game looks good and the story seems pretty intriguing so far so I don't see a reason not to get it. I pre-ordered already like a month ago.

ehh i already have a ton of multiplayer games.  i'm good at the moment.  i'll stick to BC2 on PC, KZ3 and reach (multiplatform gaming for the win!)

I'm kinda weirded out by this. This one has North Korea invading USA? Feels like milking and exploiting the "threat" of North Korea considering the recent developments with them. Yeah yeah i know, ironic considering there's tons of games about Vietnam, WW2 and Iraq.

it reminds me of Freedom Fighters, so i'm keeping an eye on it. 
gameplay i saw wasn't very impressive but i'll wait for a price drop to try it out

Why wouldn't you buy it?

Cautiously optimistic would best describe my feelings. I thought pretty highly of Frontlines even with its  flaws.
 
I am a fanatical Battlefield player, that having been said I am beginning to experience a little burnout. I am just looking for a fun change of pace with solid gameplay. 
I don't need stellar graphics, a thousand unlocks/perks, or the ability to change the color of my underwear.

Maybe. Depending on review scores and community feedback, as well as timing.
 
There are sooo many games and so little time. Also - I still very much enjoy BF:BC 2 & Vietnam. Between Crysis 2, Shift 2, Dragon Age 2 and god knows what else - I'm not likely to go and play Homefront, unless it's really really good. The BF3 Beta is about to kick-off sometime soon too (I guess). It's gonna be very hard to grab my attention away from it.
 
Then again, some of these dudes did my favorite BF1942 mod (Desert Combat) and worked on BF2. So that's making me hopeful, that it's gonna be great.

Probably, unless the consensus is that it is a bomb. Frontline was pretty good, but I never actually bought it. This game though has me pretty intrigued enough to say that I plan to pick it up. 

A first-person freedom fighters sounds very good to me, I just hope that this is what it is.

Depends on the multiplayer. But seeing as how it's being ported to PC instead of from PC, the MP will probably turn out like shit like most console shooters.

I'll be buying this for the story.  But I'm also thinking about buying

I'll probably be getting Dragon Age 2 instead of this.
