Fuck Crytek.

I may get some hate for this, but whatever. I'm ok with this. I enjoyed the Homefront campaign even though there were some bad things about that game and I think the setting definitely has untapped potential.

Homefront was an enjoyable campaign and a great multiplayer game that I, along with many others, still play regularly. Yes it had some issues at launch, so does every other game. I see Alex subscribes to the "its cool to hate on Homefront bra" school of thought. How....unsurprising.

I like CRYTEK (yeah that includes Crysis2) but I don't liked Homefront, this should be interesting.

Hold up, your statements make it seem like you actually enjoyed the game and still do.

What is it that you see in this game that's absent from or done better than any other shooter out there? I'm not trying to start a pissing match here, I honestly want to know why you enjoy this game.

Homefront was a bit of a disappointment for me but I liked it enough. I think it was another iteration away from being a good or great game. I kind of wish KAOS had gotten another crack at it. It's shitty that they got shutdown. This could turn out good for the Homefront series but isn't Free Radical the studio behind that crappy PS3 FPS called HAZE? Yes, they also did Timesplitters which I really liked but I don't really trust them to do any better than KAOS would have.

Crytek is such a joke at this point

Homefront was junk, wouldn't care if BioWare were making the sequel.

There must be something about killing North Koreans that resonates well with Crytek. Still it's good to see a sequel still in the works and fascinated that Crytek UK is the one handling it.

i bet the advertising budget for homefront was so fucking expensive for thq that they really, absolutely need to turn a profit on the franchise, hence the deal with crytek.

Homefront was flawed, and somewhat forgettable compared to most other games around, but it was interesting and fun, I don't see why people are kind of shitting on its sequel, especially now that Crytek and former Free Radical have something to do with it. I'm interested.

In other news, Alex uses that same titling convention again because, you know, Alex.

Guess this means no TimeSplitters 4. At least the real Crytek will be making Crysis 3 in all likelihood

How the hell is that game getting a sequel? It was probably the most boring game I've played this generation.

I am intrigued.

Because the world is clamoring for a sequel to a game that had no soul, no story, and barely any game play.

Should have given it to the Bodycount team. At least they could make a truly middling sequel to this Red Dawn wannabe.

This game is going to be amazing.

I loved Homefront's multiplayer (played all the way to level 75). Infinity Ward obviously liked it too, because they stole a fair amount of ideas from it for MW3. I just hope that Crytek doesn't scale down the MP to only 16 players (Homefront is 32 with dedicated servers).

sounds good to me i actually liked homefront...just wish it was more, crytek definitely will make it more (at it's best)...but personally i'd rather see timesplitters 4 i hope it's not just me, i mean homefront AND timesplitters

Maybe it's just me, but I think this franchise has potential.

never played Homefront, well actually i played the free multiplayer that was on 360, for like 3mins, fucking hated it and from what i hear the story line is shit, but might play 2 if its going to run CryEngine 3, although i didnt get into crysis 2 much i absolutly loved what CryEngine 3 did, just hope they put it to some more amazing use!

It could turn out OK in Free Radical's hands.
