Who else thinks that it's the best video game location ever created?

I wouldn't go that far as I think Assassin's Creed 2's locations were pretty well done, but Deus Ex's Hong Kong was pretty nice as well.

It was a pretty good level. And it was huge too. I always felt kind of scared going around the darker and lonelier parts of the city, but it was so much fun at the same time.

There's still a lot to it that drives me crazy, it's massive, a lot of hidden stuff to do. A lot of pointless stuff there. Having said that, it is one of the best locations in video gaming.

Stupid question, but based on this comment:

It almost sounds like Deus Ex is going to be an open world game. Is it?

Not really, there are set levels you go to, but within each level, you are pretty much free to go about it at your own pace (Of course a few locked doors here and there). As well as the ability to go through individual levels in multiple different ways.

Is that open world? I dunno anymore.

Love all the locations in Deus Ex, but Hong Kong definitely stands out from the rest. There was just tons of stuff to do there compared to the rest of the game. That, and I think the atmosphere of that location was very immersive.
