A recurring item in the Legend of Zelda series that shoots out a chain with a spike on the end. Once the spike is lodged into an object or enemy, the chain retracts and pulls Link (or the enemy) along rapidly.

The Hook Shot is an item that has appeared in most of Link's adventures. It is used to access high points or cross large gaps. The Hook Shot can attach to specific objects, such as conveniently placed hooks, posts, and certain walls. In some games, the Hook Shot can also stun certain enemies and will attach to others, allowing Link to move towards them more quickly.
