That seems pretty consistent with what Jeff and Austin have described their experience with HQ Trivia as too, I think?
They've said several times that part of what they love about that app is that it feels like being in an Black Mirror episode. We already live in a nightmare dystopia beyond what Philip K. Dick could've imagined 50 years ago, to the point that we don't really have that big shared entertainment/propaganda mass media outlet that everybody has to tune into which in the writers' minds were necessary to keep people suppressed, but HQ Trivia is kind of the first thing to really evoke that.
It evokes the TV shows we see in Fahrenheit 451, Robocop and Max Headroom, and it comforts us because in the end those were dystopian stories with hints of hope.
