Today the Humble Bundle people released the first bundle in their monthly subscription program containing:

    -Saints Row IV

    -Besiege

    -Valkyria Chronicles

    -Lethal League

    -Sanctuary RPG

    -Towerfall Ascension

    -Grimrock 2

I think it's a he'll of a deal if only I didn't already own all but two of the games (Sanctuary and Towerfall). What do you guys think? Also feel free to ask for those other keys

For $12, it doesn'r seem any better than your typical himble bundle. I'm not very privy of the status of Saints Row IV on the market, though.

That is a pretty good collection of games for $12, and some of those are games that are too big or too new to show up all that often on a typical Humble Bundle. That being said, I do happen to own about half of them already.

I'm a little disappointed, I'm pretty sure they said the games would be games that haven't been in past bundles, I'm almost positive SR4 has been in bundles in the past and the rest of the games seem like typical bundle fare.

They need to put together a much better package for people to blind buy like this.

I think the last couple of bundles of theirs have been particularly weak. In that sense this is much more of a return to form for them. Also, charity.

You know, something like this could really sedate my blood lust craze during those massive Steam sales. It's kind of like cutting cable and going with the cheaper netflix, I don't really care about spending money on t.v. or movies too much because I have so much cheap/free stuff online.
I feel like something like this would actually be kind of cool "Eh, why bother spending so much on games right now, I'll get a bunch next month anyways for cheap"

I mean I guess it depends on how good their selection is, but if it continues to be as good as this first batch, I'm totally down, this is great.

Wow, that's actually a pretty good collection of games, and pretty recent ones too. For some reason I thought the Monthly Bundle was only 1 game so I didn't subscribe.

They delivered definitely on the first time with some great quality titles there.

But all you have to do is look at Playstation+'s recent offerings to see what could happen to a service like this. At least with PS+ you get access to online play.

Not a big fan of spending money blindly.

Yeah I don't see the appeal. Seems sale seeking consumers and this blind buy format don't mix that well. Not like it's the value add it could be on consoles either.

I just feel like this would be great for someone who's just getting started with PC gaming and doesn't have a starting point. It offers a little bit of everything. For people like me who already have 700+ games in my steam library I don't mind it because I'll get a cool game or two and be putting money into charity at the same time.

Definitely a solid lineup, but I would never go for it; too much of a gamble.

Lootcrate works because you can't really own the items beforehand, this is just too much of a gamble that you might own many of the games beforehand.

@musclerider: I'd have felt better about giving the money if it was more than 5% to charity as far as the charitable donation thing goes though

I've already unsubscribed. The only stuff I didn't already own was stuff I didn't want. They are good games, but all stuff that's been on sale a for very cheap before.

If Grimrock 2 hasn't been taken, I'd like it. Loved the first one.

I would be interested in this if they can keep up the quality. This first batch is promising. Although I can't help but feel that doing this might hurt the quality of their regular bundles due to them trying to allocate titles between the two.

I own all of the games already, but it's a great selection of games for $12. Not bad. The fact that I have too many games will stop me from continuing to buy the monthly bundles blind. The risk is too high that I will already have most of the games.
