I thought I wanted something new to play for the week before Infamous 2, I saw this and thought why not.
Hunted: The Demon's Forge
Game » consists of 11 releases. Released May 31, 2011
Two mercenaries, E'lara and Caddoc, go in search of an artifact that Caddoc had a vision about that could save humanity or threaten its survival.
Anyone going to get this pure because it's something new?
Sequels are nice and all, but you also get tired of seeing the same franchises dominate eveything every year. Something different is always welcome, as long as it's good.
@SlasherMan: Don't get me wrong I think sequels are the best thing to happen to games. What? That statement confuses on all sorts of levels.

if there were no sequels ever, the whole industry would have gone out of business years ago.
From videos I seen, the gameplay looks like its from 2007. I assume that if you have nobody to play with, the AI will control the other character. Makes me wonder how much energy they put into that AI. I'm in the 'wait and see what others say' camp. Thou, I have a feeling its going to get average reviews at best. I mean shoot, in one video I seen, they kept flashing comments from sites that I've never seen. Never good when a dev/pub has to use tiny and obscure sites to push their game.
It looks like complete trash to me.
Muddy graphics, boring gameplay, bad voice acting... You know, the stuff bad games have.
I am a sucker for fantasy settings and this game looks interesting enough to warrant a purchase from me. I already have a coop partner lined up too so even if it is horrible, at least I know we will have a good time making fun of it. Hell, it cant be any worse than The First Templar and I am actually enjoying that game right now.
I was interested when they first announced it but once they started showing off the characters and gameplay I kind of lost interest, I'm not really a Gears fan and this seems heavily aimed at that audience, the gruff voice acting, overly tough characters, tight corridors, conveniently placed cover etc.
May pick it up if a buddy wants co-op, it could be fun that way, but I will not get it otherwise.
Well, I pre-ordered off Steam. The gameplay videos look like it'll be enjoyable enough for me. I am easily entertained.
Going to wait for Dungeon Siege 3 to get my RPG dungeon crawl fix.
Based on the previews, I really like the monster and dungeon design. The only thing that's putting me off from the game so far is the lighting (which seems to be a fault of the Unreal 3 engine rather than this one game) and the few clips of ballista sequences, because honestly I don't think anyone looks forward to a stationary turret sequence in their action/RPG hybrid.
