Originating from the now desolate planet Varl, like a plague the Hutts spread to the homeworld of the Evocii and enslaved their primitive society. In Huttese, Nal Hutta means "Glorious Jewel," but only a Hutt could see their new home as what this planet's new name might suggest.
The Hutts are also known to operate out of Nal Hutta's moon of Nar Shaada as well as the Outer Rim world of Tatooine, wherein the Hutt race earned its fame among Star Wars fans for the gluttonous creature known as Jabba the Hutt.
