    Overview

    Immercenary (known in Japan as Perfect World) is a first-person role-playing shooter developed by Five Miles Out and published by Electronic Arts in both North America and Japan in 1995.

    Set in futuristic 2004, Immercenary is set in a world where humanity is jacked into a virtual reality network called "Perfect" and, engaged in a game where everybody endlessly battles for survival, cannot jack out. Players control the mysterious "Five", fifth of a line of operatives sent into Perfect's core to shut down its operating system (known as "Perfect 1").
