    Indigo Prophecy is a mystery-driven action/adventure game that harkens back to the point-and-click era. The game incorporates rhythm mini-games at key points as you try to figure out why you murdered a stranger in a local diner.

    You're gonna have to wait until Heavy Rain. Indigo Prophecy was one of a kind.

    I've heard that the Shenmue games should be kind of the same, but they're only for the Dreamcast. Crap.

    I think they've removed a lot of sexual content for the American release. Indigo Prophecy was one of a kind but other adventure games like Shenmue or Dreamfall are pretty good.

    @MrCellophane: Shenmue 2 was released on the Xbox in the US.
     
    But yeah, Indigo Prophecy is pretty unique. You're probably best off waiting for Heavy Rain. You could check out "Dreamfall: The Longest Journey" though, but I'd suggest playing the original "The Longest Journey" first. That's as close of an experience as I can really think of.
