inFamous 2 Unveiled
" @DM said:He grew back his hair, and a bunch of extra face too? To be fair, the difference probably comes from the limitations of in-game models versus drawn artwork, but even then the shape of Cole's head seems way off." Yeah that pic does'nt look like Cole at all. Excited to hear about the game tho. "It is him, his hair has just grown back after he lost it in the explosion in the beginning of the first one "
That doesn't look like Cole at all.
Maybe it's just the lack of the contorting grimace that his face held throughout the entire game....
Well we did hear a long time ago that the voice actor for Cole was changed. I'm guessing they just decided to change his looks as well. I for one think this version looks a bit better, the first Cole was a bit ugly looking.
" @Hailinel said:The name Zeke was forever ruined for me by Salute Your Shorts." So they're changing Cole's voice and his appearance? Why not just make a different character entirely if they weren't that satisfied with him the first time around? "Better yet, change all the characters! Man, I hope Zeke isn't around. >_< "
"Zeke the plumber, Zeke the plumber, Zeke the plumber..."
Why you guys hate Zeke? I found him to be intersting character, he had personal issues and was
unpredictable thats what made him interesting in my eyes. Also am i the only one that found story in Infamous to be good? Not Uncharted 2 good, but come on it was way better then some of you say.
I am more and more becoming excited at what Sony has planned for E3 every time they announce something new. With all these exclusives being revealed beforehand, they must really think that what they will show at E3 is so goddamn spectacular that it doesn't matter if they reveal Infamous 2 like a week before the show.
Time will tell if that is the right move.
I was kinda hoping the sequel would focus on another type of elemental power. Like Fire, Water, Air or Ice etc.
Still working my way through the first one (Only got it a month ago and have not had the time to play much games.)
Also hope they fix the climbing mechanics. Many times Im trying to grab something but he grabs something else and throws me off a chase sequence or Cole doesn't grab it at all.
I hope they pull a Sabatouer where holding down 'O' will alow Cole to just drop ignoring things to grab on to as opposed to (in inFamous 1) repeatedly tapping 'O' to let go of every thing he grabs onto on the way down or jumping away from the wall (Only to grab something else.)
When your on the ground trying to chase things is useless.
Minor spoiler
In inFamous1 you had to chase a helicopter and unless you managed to find the electric wires to go from roof to roof if you fell to the ground you were screwed. The time it takes to climb a building you lost the heli.
So I hope for some sort of on-ground electric burst sprint kind of thing.
Or even the ability to jump on top of a car and use your electric powers to manouver the car.
Well I for one would love to see Cole fly. Not this gliding bullshit we had in the last game. Actual flight, Iron man style, you know blasting energy out of his hands and feet to stay airborne. That way the city can be super big and tall. Flight would allow easy travel accross the city in the later part of the game. Of course flight would make the climbing a bit redundant but that was my least favorate part of the first game so I would be happy to loose it.
I guess I should get around to playing Prototype and Infamous, then. I've had them both since their release dates and haven't even given them a second glance, much less unwrapped and played them. There was nothing about them that appealed to me, though I can't put my finger on it. I suspect the confusion in the year leading up to their release over "wait, these are two DIFFERENT games?" had something to do with it, of course.
It was a given there would be a part 2 so I ain't jumping out of my seat. New powers sounds fun aswell as a new city to explore. I wonder if moraility plays a bigger part this time around.
It is Cole, Sucker Punch is turning down the grim dark by several notches for this one. We don't have to suffer through whiskey voice Cole.
Also, he looked stupid as hell in the original, like a middle aged neo nazi.
" @DonutFever said:Shit, people weren't lying when they told me to play evil." There should be the Lightning equivalent of an assault rifle, or other fully automatic weapon. "Arc lightning was pretty much that on the Evil side, best power in the game because it resembled the emperors lightning form Return of the Jedi. "
