    Infamous 2 epically amazing.

So after just getting Infamous 2 I sat down and put over 5 hours in the game nonstop. This game packs together everything that made the first game great and expands upon it. With returning game play and only a minor change to controls Infamous 2 is exactly what you would expect from a sequel.

The story for the game is actually more addictive than the first with actual cut scenes as well as the graphic novel style story telling. The story beats feel like they have more of an impact and make you care more about what is going on with the characters and the game. It starts off with a bang fighting the “Beast” discussed in the first game. Cole fights him to no avail and they travel off the a new city New Marais where Cole intends to beef up his powers as the “Beast” moves towards the city decimating anything in its path.

Many elements from the first game return such as good and evil karma and watching televisions for news in the game world (which in this case is about the Beast) There are a lot more opportunities for good and evil decisions that even deal more with the story than the first game. There are also plenty of chances for good and evil karma points on the street in helping or hurting civilians and even attacking street performers.

The combat feels just like the first game but a little smoother. The new powers add a whole new destructive element to the game. Movement is a lot quicker allowing Cole to climb buildings a lot faster and maneuver on the ground and in the air more precise. There can be some quirky camera moments during heavy combat but that can be expected and is hardly a downside. If you played the first game it’s very similar. The power level up system is much more simplified in this game being lowered to one screen with all of the powers listed. There are also multiple powers assigned to the same buttons and there is a quick change option where you can change what powers you want to use in the middle of battle.

The user created content adds a whole new level to the game and makes it literally endless. You can sort user created missions and even look for ones made by your friends or locally.   You can make any kind of mission that is in the game or even make something more original such as minigames where you have to throw items at enemies. When you make your own mission you can upload them to the servers for anyone else to download.

Overall Infamous 2 is defiantly a step up from the first game with a more dynamic story and game play. With that being said if you liked the first game you will love the second game. The story keeps you invested and the powers are fun to use. It’s a fun free roaming super power game on an epic scale and is highly recommended for fans of the first game or super hero genre.

There's an easy distinction between an open world game, and a sandbox. Open world games primarily use their open world mostly as a setting alone to portray realistic interactions, show off impressive environments and to mostly push the story forward, like Mafia 2, L.A Noire and for a less recent example, Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Sandboxes, on the other hand, are mostly striving to give you a giant playground full of opportunities for mayhem, carnage, destruction and many more terms relating to ma...

Zeke still sucks, but that's about all that does. 0

Infamous 2 is a hard game to place, they’ve changed so much about it while leaving so much of it the exact same. Yet it still manages to feel like a unique open world experience with a ton of content and a lot of replay ability. It’s a game for comic fans, open world fans, or even to some extent third person shooter fans. It reaches a broad audience and it mish mashes all these different genres and play styles into one gorgeous, fun to play and well told story. Cole's Character Model still loo...
