Should I play Good or Evil?
I like the good powers better. Every attack heals and re energizes you. The good story is better than the evil story in 2.

doesn't matter really. Frankly, the Good/Evil choices are an artificial attempt to make inFamous more deep than it is. It's pretty transparent and shallow. I have a real issue with morality systems in games being so two dimensional and pigeon holed. I don't like that games make me feel like I have to go all good or all bad because the only way I am going to level up all the way is if I stick myself on one path and one path only (I'm looking at you Mass Effect).
That being said I still really enjoyed the game (and played on the good side, but that's cause I always feel like a dick for being the renegade/evil/bad guy). Your going to have fun either way you go!
are you talking about the first inFAMOUS? i don't think the two stories differ aaall that much, it's all written to sound appropriate for both paths, more or less. It's more about how you want to feel like I suppose. Also good powers are precise and focused and evil powers are chaotic and explosive, I suppose.
Like Brad, I am hopelessly chained to always being a good guy. It's actually a little challenge to go all evil for me. Then again, it all depends on your moral values. If I have the time, the best route for me is to always complete the game as good, then do a second playthrough as evil. You get the best of both worlds and you can enjoy the game that much more! Either way, enjoy the game. It's AWESOME.
@hoossy: Amen, brother Amen! I hate the limp dicked execution of the binary good OR evil choices in videogames. How about rewarding me for being more of a middle of the road anti hero? Not necessarily all evil or good, but practical.
I want to be able to roll as a bounty hunter bad ass!
That being said, while I originally started playing inFamous as a "good" guy I recently switched. Playing evil feels much more rewarding!
The good powers are better, not to mention that going evil makes literally everyone around you bash you and give you shit, it was unbearable.
If you are talking about the first game well it will depend on your play style. The evil side power are way more destructive cause more damage and more chaos, while the good powers will help keep order by having easier methods for you to recharge your powers and pinning down weaker enemies rather then blowing them up. Some have said it's easier playing the evil side, which is why many save that for the hard run.
I found the precision of the good powers (one powerful attack vs. several weaker) superior to the evil ones against powerful enemies, which was the only time it really mattered IMO. There's one exception though, and it's a big one - the evil Arc Lighting power is extremely effective against the final boss, far more so than anything the good side has, so I'd ultimately recommend playing evil on hard.

Quick question which ending in canon to the start of 2?
Both. Without spoiling anything specific, the way infamous 1 ends, good or evil, it leaves it just open enough for infamous 2 to pick up regardless of where you were karma wise.
