Worth it for someone barely into fighting games giving it a go or do we have some savants in here?

There are some fighting game experienced folks bound to be involved but hey the game just came out so you never know. It's a good time win or lose.

I don't really have my sights set on this game but I hope there's one for Tekken in a few weeks!

@oljunebug: To be honest the bracket has some killers in there. Killers in other games moreso than this one but I'm sure they intend to run people over with some combos and setups come Sunday. But you shouldn't feel dissuaded, it is the first week and people can't have an answer for everything. I'm relatively new to learning fighting games myself and these guys helped me a lot with that. Couldn't hurt to try it out and see what happens, maybe it could get you more hooked on the competitive side of the game.

I'm definitely interested but let me talk with the wife to see if I can block out some time for this.

I threw my hat in; I've gotten to the point where I can carry on a match without *wholly* embarrasing myself. Looking forward to it on the 21st!
