Overview
In Insignificant players control a tiny person trying to survive in a human-sized world. The game was developed by Dan Rickmers under the moniker of Significant Games. The game is distributed on Steam for PC, Mac, and Linux.
The player begins by being exiled from their provincial underground home due to one of four player-chosen backstories. Through talking to characters and collecting audio logs, the player will discover what happened to the outside world and how they can help, or make things worse.
Gameplay
Insignificant has hand-crafted levels with action-oriented combat, as well as crafting, enchanting and pretend gacha machine mechanics.
Combat style is different depending on the player's equipped weapon, ranging from melee-focused attacks with sewing needles or pushpins, to precise shooting with the Flossbow or magic finger gun, or physics based thrown weapons like dice or pills.
Players can fight small critters like butterflies and snails, as well as giant creatures like wolves and full-size humans. Large creatures have a puzzle element to defeating them where hidden weak points must be uncovered and attacked before being defeated.
