When Insomniac Games announced its decision to become a multiplatform developer last year, the studio didn't reveal a new game alongside the news. We'll finally know what game will mark Insomniac Games' move onto Xbox 360 at the Electronic Arts press conference on Monday, according to the company's Twitter account.

I dunno... That screenshot makes it look like it could possibly be a shooter.

It's an FPS or third person shooter.

Just 360? No PC love? I would love to see them bundle all the Ratchet and Clank games and put them out for everyone.That's one series I always wanted to get into, but sadly I didn't when they were new and I don't like to start in on series half way through and it's just too much of a pain trying to find the old games. So I doubt I will get to play the games unless they do a bundle/remake.

Is that some sort of robot spider in the background? My brain interprets images shrouded in fog oddly.

I'm okay with it being a shooter as long as it's more like Ratchet and Clank than Resistance.

My random wild guess is a racing game.

It's a Sci-Fi shooter! (Doesn't EA have enough of that? They already have ME and Dead Space...)

It's going to be a goddamn action-platformer, but also a role-playing game. I'm going to call it right here.

hopefully it will be better than the Resistance games.

Either that or it's going to be really disappointing to find out the secret to defeating the World Eater is to shine a flashlight in his face for a while and then shoot him. Bet Mr. Fantastic never thought of that.

I really doubt that they would look into getting back into FPS considering it is a crowded market just in EA's own portfolio. 
 
I would bet that they would go back to action platforming but with some sort of twist. I wouldn't be totally surprised if they were at the Microsoft conference considering there is speculation that Bungie will be at Sony's. 
 
They may try to perfect "parkor" style of gameplay but with their twist, whatever that is. I sort of think they got shafted by Sony just because Killzone got much more marketing than Resistance but it wasn't that much to begin with.

Does multiplatform also include the pc? I hope it includes the pc.

Based on that picture it looks like a first or third person shooter with a The Mist/Monsters vibe.

I've gotten around to playing Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time recently, and without exaggeration, it is one of my favorite games of all time. It just looks so damned beautiful, runs buttery smooth, control like a dream, and has an actually interesting and funny story. Insomniac is an awesome studio.

I wouldn't mind a kinda light-hearted shooter comedy, like a Zombieland tone or something, and, after Ratchet and Clank, I think Insomniac could do that pretty dang well.

Screw you all, I really enjoyed the Resistance games U_U Though this fan-fiction about Alan Wake vs Galactus would admittedly make R3 a whole heap better. Put in Evil Dead's Ash Williams and you're sorted.

Insomniac is a great developer and it would be nice to see a new platforming game, It would be great to see an evolution in that genre, this generation we have had very few of these games especially on 360(I only remember the launch title and i even forget its name, It was fun at the time but obviously not memorable), A hybrid of sorts would be great with some rpg elements as thats always nice lol, really i have no clue just blowing smoke.
 
The screenshot does not fill me with hope, Please not a shooter, Resistence 1 was ok i enjoyed it as a launch title i got with ps3 but for some reason i hated the 2nd game, I only played it a couple of weeks back and i had to stop playing after a couple of hours and psn was down so i could not try MP as it was a rental so i sent it back.
 
Ratchet games are fun, I wonder what this means for PS3, I know they are a big team so I assume they will still be doing PS3 games after R3, this generation i believed insomniac have spread themselfs a little thin trying to bring a title out each year, If they put a bigger team for longer on Resistence it probably would have been better.

A Crack in Time was fantastic. Looking forward to what they do next.

its too bad the resistance series never took off.  i actually had fun with the second game but i wasnt blown away completely.

I'd like to see a strategy game where you take control of individual teamates at any given time.

Also, Hitman: Absolution is being shown at E3 as well.

I am hoping to see some good stuff from them for the 360.

Wait, Insomniac could have been putting out multiplatform stuff?  I guess sony was giving them a lot of money to stay PS3 exclusive because that is amazing they chose to stay that long.  Also, why is Galactus in this game?
