Inspector Jenks is a detective assigned to investigate the potential murder of PhD student Kate Vine in the small town of Edenton in one night. He's very eccentric but clever and able to put disparate elements together to help him solve his case. He is persistent and an annoyance to many of the village's residents with his constant questioning but eagle focused on his goal of uncovering the truth about the death of Kate Vine getting tangled up in the lives of the villagers as he uncovers there dark secrets.
Jenks is bald and elects to wear his signature cowboy hat at all times.
