It's arguably the one move that symbolizes the medium to those outside it. The ability to jump, be it onto a building, a platform, or a skull, is one of the all time most important abilities ever put in a video game.
Kill Stealing involves a player killing another player's target in order to gain his or her "prize". These include loot, experience points, a point score, etc.
The act of granting freedom to prisoners or subjugated NPCs.
All militaries have some kind of uniform.
The minimap is a small, simplified version of a larger map. This plays a vital role in many games, especially Real Time Strategy, where it is important to have an overview of the entire map.
A continuously updated tally of each player's score, kills, deaths, and other info in a multiplayer match. It can usually be pulled up while playing by pressing a button or key.
Occurs when a player kills an enemy using a sniper rifle without the aid of the scope. Generally in FPS games, sniper rifles are not equipped with crosshairs, thus making this feat impressive.

An advanced shading model, including diffuse, ambient and specular shading, with per-pixel lighting. Developed by Bui Tuong Phong, it was introduced to gaming with the Sega Hikaru arcade system in 1999. Since the mid-2000s, it has been the most widely used shading model in modern 3D video games.

Those who choose to Rebel against authority or attempt to topple 'The Man' or a greater power. Also known as insurgents
A gathering of people who believe in the same higher power(s), and follow the rules laid out by the mortals chosen to be their prophets. Video games generally try to shy away from negatively portraying real religions to avoid controversy, however they make ample use of fictional in-game religions.
Reloading is the action of replacing the ammunition magazine inside a gun. It adds a touch of realism to most modern shooters, and a certain amount of tension when a player is forced to reload while under fire.
One man's terrorist, another's freedom fighter.

Any person that is in an Army.
Valve Corporation's proprietary game engine that debuted in summer 2004 with Counter-Strike: Source and later that same year with Half-Life 2. It may be worth noting that the first Source game released a full 2 weeks ahead of Counter-Strike, and that was Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Source Mods are user creations or modifications based on Source game content previously released.

A squad is a group of military personnel who work together as a group. Popular in both single-player and multiplayer games, the other players within the squad can be either AI or other people.
You work with a small team of AI or human squad members (usually with a total squad size of 4) to complete objectives.
Why go it alone when you can roll with a team? Squad Tactics let you issue commands to a whole crew of A.I controlled squad mates, who can(among other things) plant bombs, fire at specific targets, take cover, and talk smack.
