    A vehicular combat simulation set in an alternate 1976 that is still reeling from the '73 oil crisis, Interstate '76 takes many of the customization elements (as well as its game engine) from the MechWarrior series, applying them to muscle cars in the American Southwest.

    Inspiring Drive-Bys Across the Desert 0

    T his is a killer car-combat game, and by killer, I mean a really cool game. It's a car-combat game with a story, and one well above those of "Twisted Metal". You star as jive turkey, Groove Champion, that is on a vigilante mission to find out who killed his sister with the help of his friends, Skeeter and Taurus. This is also during a huge oil crisis in the south-west during 1976.The game is based on the MechWarrior 2 engine. In other words, it's graphics that were really good back in that day,...
