It's been a long one month, I've loved the times we've spent together in the toilet, listening to Shawn Elliot, Jazzy Jeff and the gang, among other podcasts. Learning shit sometimes too. But you decided to fall off my hand and die. So fuck you.
AHA! Just kidding, it wasn't your fault ipod. It was me, all fucking me. Same dude what has to take you to the Genius Bar. Must purchase a douche shield before going or I might die.
Lesson? Don't drop your non-solid state hard drive ipod. It's bad.

I remember dropping my ps2 first day i got it way back when. The disk drive popped out the system and it wouldnt turn on. So i just pushed disk drive back in, gave the system a couple of good hits, and it was miraculously back to life... damn sucks what happened to ur ipod tho
Not to turn this into one of *those* arguments, but I've dropped my non solid-state Zune plenty of times. The thing even has an unfortunate nick of a dent in the side. Still works just fine. Those hard drives are built better than your average desktop one because they have to be made to resist a reasonable amount of shock. I don't mean to say that the Zune is somehow a better product, I just mean that it seems weird that it would break after one drop.
Then again, same crap happened to my old laptop. When I took out the drive, you could tell the insides were shattered into little tiny pieces. I took a hammer to the thing to finish the job.
i've had my big-as-a-brick ipod since 2004, quite sturdy i must say, the screen got recently shattered into pieces and it still works :D
That's a real bummer

I've had my iPod since 2006 and it's never let me down. Even if I did accidentally drop it down the stairs that time.
