    So since Monday's a holiday for AMERICA, I figured I'd host a race! And since it's my house, it's my rules - that means WE'RE RACING THE RADICALS GODDAMN IT. To limit the cost, and allow for everyone to join if they want, I'm going to also put the Ford Spec Racer as an alternate choice! I really like Okayama, and since it's in 2 series this week (Skippy & Spec), we'll run there. It'll be 40 min practice, 20 min qualifying and 60 min race with unlimited quick tows for when we all paint the walls with our fenders. I'll probably start it around 10 AM PDT (5 PM GMT) so the race is at 11 AM PDT (6 PM GMT).

    If you don't have the Radical and are invested in iRacing at all, I HIGHLY suggest you buy it. It's probably the best sounding car in the game, and is WAY easier to drive than you think. It's so easy to go fast with that car, it's an absolute blast. Here's some footage of the car on the track:

    Hope everyone can join!

    Bleh, I won't be able to race the Radical. Really poor this week and can't afford it.

    I don't know if I can make it to the race yet but I don't own the Radical as well, but even though I have interest in driving it I have no money this month (GTA V). So I guess if I join I'll be driving the Spec Racer as well...(oh god)

    If it helps people, here is a guide for the Spec Racer at Okayama using the baseline setup:

    I've grown to like a little bit of understeer, but definitely going to have to try and dial some of it out after watching that video.

    Uh oh

    Man, the SRF is kinda nuts. I feel like if I had a solid grasp of left-foot braking and heel-toe, it'd be much more manageable.

    @khann: Hah, heel-toe. That's way beyond my skill level. It's all about the auto-clutch in my world! I live in the future, where all cars have paddle shifters! :D

    Yeah it's beyond me as well. I'm using paddle shifters as well 'cause the G27 doesn't have a sequential shifter. I am forcing myself to use the clutch. That normally isn't too much of an issue, but I'm missing a lot of shifts in the SRF for some reason.

    So, turns out that mis-shifting issue was a much bigger one than I thought :( Going into a hairpin expecting to be in 2nd, but instead being in neutral, is not a fun thing. The amount of times I went into turns 4, 5 and 7 in neutral...

    Also, some CRAZY WILD RADICAL DRIVER decided the front of my car was too straight and took it upon himself to fix the problem ;)

    Hey, look. This thing is a mythical beast attached to four wheels. Trying to tame it is nigh impossible for mere mortal men, the fact that I kept the mother funyun thing on the track at all is a minor miracle ;)

    Here's the full replay from my POV, for people like @iron1c who sadly couldn't join us :(

    @slowbird: A terrible, sterile future. :(

    A not crashing, not missing shifts future! Listen, I can barely steer and use the pedals sometimes, much less shift properly! Sometimes I can't even take a second to use the push-to-talk button (when I have a working headset, that is)

    Dang! I wish I'd realized the race was happening. I need to set my alerts so I'm notified when I'm mentioned. I need to stay more active checking the forums.

    I'd love to host some events too; even if they're just fun weekend events in-between the real club events.
