    IS-3 ("Object 703") - Soviet heavy tank of the Great Patriotic War, It did not see action during the war.

    Overview

     
    A Soviet Heavy tank based on the more famous IS2 tank. It featured a revolutionary sloped turret and a very powerful gun. The turret was very cramped to the point were it would significantly have reduced combat effectiveness. It was produced at the very end of the war but it is highly unlikely it saw combat. It was first observed by western military during a parade in Moscow in September of 1945, where it caused a bit of a panic due to its advanced design.

    It is featured in the online game World of Tanks, were it is a quite well rounded heavy tank with decent speed and its sloped armor means it has good survivability. Its gun is inferior to the similiary tiered King Tiger however.
