    James McCaffrey has done voice over work for video game characters such as Max Payne and also appears in the hit FX television show, Rescue Me.

    MacCaffrey also voices Thomas Zane, a poet from the 70s who followed a similar fate to Alan Wake. He also provides the voice for Alex Casey, a detective in Wake's books The Sudden Stop and Return to Sender, both books are a reference to Max Payne.
