I played a shitload of Mario Tennis while I listened to you guys. Pretty great stories all around, some were actually so great it makes me wonder what other stories will be told as time (and people) move on.
Good show chaps!

Does it seriously take 7 hours to drive from San Fransisco to Los Angeles? That seems crazy!
I think a lot of people visualize SF & LA as closer than they actually are. California's huge.
"I guess I'll go have some more mashed potatos. Now let's go make some rap music"... Oh man. That was funny.

Fun (and mostly useless) fact: California has a higher total population than the entire country of Canada.
@smcn: I can drive the same distance here in Sweden in 4 hours. So it still doesn't make sense to me. I guess they stop alot during the ride? I haven't listened to the recording yet.
@metalliccookies: It had over 2000 listeners when I checked in :)
and over 5k around the 2 hour mark where i stopped listening.
@automatontribe: The first hour is everyone being picked up. The actual drive takes them roughly 4 and a half hours. It's 390 miles, on a Freeway that isnt straight, packed with traffic, going ROUGHLY 80 miles an hour, rarely faster, often slower, with only 2 stops for over 30 minutes.
@automatontribe: If you drive 660 km in four hours, you aren't obeying any speed limits known to man.
@automatontribe: He does stop to pick up Greg Kasavin, Alex, and Danny (with a bit of waiting for the latter two) and a couple stops for gas, but even so a straight shot is about five and a half hours without traffic according to Google Maps. That's at an average of 68 mph/109kmh which is about the speed limit on I5.
Me and @alex_navarro just made a guest appearance in a rap video, so E3 is pretty much OVER.

Cuddle Shuttle. Hmm. That gives me an idea. Consider this:
A taxi service that has a lady sitting with you in the back seat. Fully clothed. No sex involved. She just snuggles up to you and you rest your head on her chest for the duration of the trip. Maybe make it a van with a massage table in back and lady also be certified professional massage therapist. Both genders offered of course. This is equal opportunity cuddle bus.
:D
@herbiebug: You described an Escort. There doesn't have to be sex involved with Escorts.
@sjqpersonal: No. This is more cuddle specific. And classy. Also lady never leaves the cab. D:
@smcn: I can drive the same distance here in Sweden in 4 hours. So it still doesn't make sense to me. I guess they stop alot during the ride? I haven't listened to the recording yet.
Really? You average 103 MPH for a 4 hour trip?
I listened to this live while playing WOW and it was so much fun, I think Jeff needs to write a book one day.
Any word on when the e3 prediction podcast will come out?
Should be due up midday PST on Tuesday Jeff said at one point during the drive
Why put it up late? Wouldn't it be better tomorrow at that time
They have said they are putting it up when the show floor opens at E3. Presumably because that's when the embargoes are all up. They couldn't put it up tomorrow because obviously there's all the press conferences. And then Nintendo have their live video thing on Tuesday. So I guess they are putting it up after that is done. Like they do with the E3 prediction podcast every single year.

I thought it was the prediction podcast. I don't understand why they put it up afterwards each year. Sure it's a bit funny in retrospect but I would much prefer it before the Xbox Press Conference as a last stop on the Hype train as it were
I don't think you're grasping what "embargo" means. It's hard to make predictions when you know things in advance and they'll get reprimanded/sued if they put it up early. That simple.

Games journalists see things before the show. Unless they recorded that their predictions 6 months in advance of E3 it wouldn't really be predictions, it'd be talking about things they know. And because they have been told it in confidence they have embargos which they cannot break. Or they could if they really wanted but that'd be bad for future relations with publishers.
Thanks for putting this up. It's hard to listen to though, there seems to be a bunch of shitty hip hop music in the background.
O___O I need to experience this video
@automatontribe: they appear to drive through a fair amount of city territory which has a lot of lights and stuff early on, they also have to drive over the mountains towards the end, ive never had to make that drive but when my family went on vacations in Hungary, the 150 hour drive to the lake took like 3+ hours just cos the roads were trash so i can understand that sometimes travel times arent what they appear they should be
I've already listened to this stuff while it was live, but I'm very happen it's on the site, even if it's only an embedded thing from another site.

Only for the first bit before jeff picks anyone up.
I have a 9 hour flight tomorrow night. I will totally listen to this while I try to sleep on the plane. Thanks Jeff!
