    Overview

    John Carpenter is a film director best known for a string of horror and action films from the 1970s and '80s, including the original Halloween, Escape From New York, The Thing, and Big Trouble in Little China. He is also a known lover of video games has worked on a select few. Carpenter's first game credit was 1998's Sentinel Returns, for which he composed the score with Gary McKill. In 2002 he voiced a cameo role in The Thing video game. Most recently he aided in the direction of the cutscenes in F.E.A.R. 3.
