This is the future of the media.
Journey is a true example of video games finally being viewed as an artistic media. It strips away nearly all of the typical "movie" devices used to tell stories in games. The story is simply told through gameplay. The emotion is derived through gameplay, yet it still remains a "game" not just an "experience" like so many people create in their pursuit of "games as art". In Journey there is art, emotion, and story. The amazing part of this game is, with all the artistry, and poetry of it, they remembered to make a game that is just plain old fun to play. It has mass appeal, and could spark the interest of non-gamers with it's simplicity, and beauty. If gamers want their choice of entertainment media taken seriously, we need more games like this.
