Julius Erving is one of the greatest basketball players of all time and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993. He played in college for the University of Massachusetts for two seasons. In these two seasons he averaged over 30 points per game and over 20 rebounds per game. Professionally Erving played for the American Basketball Association and the National Basketball Association. With the ABA he played for the Virginia Squires and the New York Nets. In the NBA he played for the Philadelphia 76ers. In slam dunk competitions Dr. J is famous for dunking from the free-throw line.
